“Citrus production and export plan launched worth ₹1.2 billion!” | (1.2 अरब रुपये का साइट्रस उत्पादन, निर्यात योजना शुरू की गई )

लाहौर : मुख्यमंत्री मरियम नवाज के दृष्टिकोण के तहत, साइट्रस उत्पादन और निर्यात को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 1.2 अरब रुपये का एक मेगा कार्यक्रम लागू किया जा रहा है।

पंजाब के कृषि एवं पशुधन मंत्री सैयद आशिक हुसैन किरमानी ने कहा कि पाकिस्तान खट्टे फलों के निर्यात से सालाना लगभग 185 मिलियन डॉलर कमाता है, जिसे काफी बढ़ाया जा सकता है। पंजाब सरकार प्रांत में साइट्रस (खट्टे फल) उत्पादन को बहाल करने और बढ़ाने के लिए विभिन्न पहल कर रही है।

मुख्यमंत्री के किसान पैकेज के तहत, साइट्रस पुनरुद्धार के लिए 1.2 बिलियन रुपये का पर्याप्त आवंटन किया गया है, जिसमें टोबा टेक सिंह में एक साइट्रस अनुसंधान संस्थान और लैय्या में एक साइट्रस अनुसंधान केंद्र की स्थापना शामिल है। इन पहलों का उद्देश्य न केवल प्रमाणित साइट्रस नर्सरी और नए बगीचे स्थापित करना है, बल्कि साइट्रस उत्पादन और निर्यात को बढ़ावा देना भी है, जिससे राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था मजबूत होगी।

ब्रीफिंग के दौरान, मंत्री को बताया गया कि तीन साल का साइट्रस पुनर्वास कार्यक्रम प्रमाणित साइट्रस पौधों का उत्पादन करने और किसानों को तकनीकी मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करने के लिए आधुनिक कृषि प्रौद्योगिकियों का उपयोग करने पर केंद्रित है। बागवानों को साइट्रस उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए सर्वोत्तम संभव संसाधन उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे।

इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला गया कि जलवायु परिवर्तन ने पंजाब में नींबू के उत्पादन पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव डाला है।

मंत्री ने खट्टे फलों की कटाई के बाद होने वाले नुकसान को कम करने के लिए एक व्यापक रणनीति तैयार करने का निर्देश दिया।

उन्होंने कहा कि सरगोधा में साइट्रस रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट की कार्यक्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए धन आवंटित किया जा रहा है। इसमें उत्पादकता बढ़ाने के लिए उन्नत बीज किस्मों और नई तकनीकों को शामिल करना शामिल है। वैश्विक मानकों को पूरा करने के लिए साइट्रस प्रसंस्करण और पैकेजिंग को मानकीकृत करने पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया जा रहा है।

पंजाब के कृषि सचिव इफ्तिखार अली साहू ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले और लागत प्रभावी साइट्रस पौधों की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करना प्राथमिकता है। इसके अतिरिक्त, पैदावार को अधिकतम करने के लिए खट्टे फलों के बगीचों में बीमारियों को नियंत्रित करने के लिए निवारक उपाय किए जा रहे हैं। सरकार विभिन्न निजी संस्थानों के सहयोग से आधुनिक खट्टे फलों के बगीचे और प्रसंस्करण इकाइयाँ स्थापित करने का प्रयास कर रही है, जिससे किसानों को तकनीकी सहायता मिलेगी और खट्टे फलों की गुणवत्ता और उत्पादन में सुधार होगा। इस अवसर पर, मंत्री ने निर्देश दिया कि सभी साइट्रस हितधारकों के साथ परामर्शात्मक बैठकें तुरंत बुलाई जाएं।

Lahore: Under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision, a major program worth 1.2 billion rupees is being implemented to promote citrus production and export.

Punjab’s Agriculture and Livestock Minister, Syed Ashique Hussain Kirmani, stated that Pakistan earns about $185 million annually from citrus fruit exports, which can be significantly increased. The Punjab government is undertaking various initiatives to revive and enhance citrus production in the province.

As part of the Chief Minister’s Farmers Package, a substantial allocation of 1.2 billion rupees has been made for citrus revitalization. This includes the establishment of a citrus research institute in Toba Tek Singh and a citrus research center in Layyah. These initiatives aim not only to set up certified citrus nurseries and new orchards but also to boost citrus production and exports, strengthening the national economy.

During a briefing, it was mentioned that a three-year citrus rehabilitation program will focus on producing certified citrus plants and providing farmers with technical guidance by using modern agricultural technologies. The best possible resources will be made available to growers to increase citrus production.

It was noted that climate change has negatively impacted lemon production in Punjab.

The minister directed the development of a comprehensive strategy to reduce post-harvest losses of citrus fruits.

He also mentioned that funding is being allocated to enhance the capabilities of the Citrus Research Institute in Sargodha. This will involve incorporating advanced seed varieties and new techniques to improve productivity. Special attention is also being given to standardizing citrus processing and packaging to meet global standards.

Punjab’s Agriculture Secretary, Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, emphasized that ensuring the availability of high-quality and cost-effective citrus plants is a priority. Additionally, preventive measures are being implemented to manage diseases in citrus orchards to maximize yield. The government is working to establish modern citrus orchards and processing units in collaboration with various private institutions to provide farmers with technical support and improve the quality and production of citrus fruits. On this occasion, the minister instructed that consultations with all citrus stakeholders be convened immediately.
