In the meeting, the action plan prepared by the Chief Secretary with a total budget of Rs 7421.08 lakh for the operation of Nand Baba Milk Mission in the financial year 2024-25 was approved. Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana will be implemented in 75 districts
The proposal to operate Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana was approved in the meeting. This is a plan for 10 cows of indigenous breed. All 75 districts of the state are covered under this scheme. In this scheme, there is a provision to purchase cattle of Sahiwal, Gir and Tharparkar species from outside the state.
The unit cost of the project is proposed to be Rs 23.60 lakh. A grant of 50 percent of the unit cost will be given to the beneficiary in 2 installments. At the district level, the beneficiaries will be selected by the selection committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Development Officer.
Portal of Nand Baba Milk Mission will be ready
The Chief Secretary gave instructions to prepare the portal of Nand Baba Milk Mission within a month in every case to receive the applications of the beneficiaries. He said that advertisement should be published at the state level to receive applications from beneficiaries under Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana and Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Mini Yojana.

He gave instructions to abolish the requirement of transit insurance and make it optional in the system of purchasing animals from outside the state under the Chief Minister Swadeshi Cow Promotion Scheme. He said that under the schemes of the mission, the selected beneficiaries should be provided with the purchase of cattle within a month. Beneficiaries should be given training before purchasing cattle. Chief Sachin said that in the districts where there are no departmental officers, the Chief Veterinary Officer should be nominated as the nodal officer for the implementation of the schemes.
