The scheme will be started in 347 districts of 21 states of the country. Due to the ongoing campaigns for sowing of oilseed crops since last year, this time in the Kharif season, more oilseed crops have been sown in 3 lakh hectare area as compared to last year. Whereas, the Oilseed Mission aims to increase oilseed production from 39 million tonnes (2022-23) to 69.7 million tonnes by 2030-31.
