अधिकारियों ने बताया कि प्याज की कीमतें नए फसल आने पर कुछ हफ्तों में गिरेंगी। इसी तरह, टमाटर की कीमतें महीने के अंत तक घटने की संभावना है। डॉ. बी.आर. एम. वेंकन्ना, अंबेडकर सब्जी मंडी के सचिव ने कहा कि मंडी में बचे 96 प्रतिशत टमाटर अन्य राज्यों जैसे आंध्र प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र और कर्नाटका से आते हैं। 4 प्रतिशत टमाटर तेलंगाना से आते हैं। जब अन्य राज्यों से उत्पाद कम होते हैं, तो कीमतें बढ़ जाती हैं।
