Rajasthan Agriculture Department has asked farmers to use single super phosphate and NPK grades of fertilizer in crops at the time of sowing. It is said to be cheaper and more effective than DAP.
Farmers purchase DAP and other fertilizers in September, even before the sowing of Rabi season crops starts in October. This time also in some areas of Rajasthan, queues of farmers have been seen at the sales centers to purchase fertilizers.
