किसान मज़दूर संघर्ष समिति और यूनाइटेड किसान मोर्चा (गैर-राजनीतिक) द्वारा धान की खरीद में देरी और भंडारण की समस्याओं, न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (MSP) और अन्य मुद्दों के खिलाफ दूसरी दिन भी प्रदर्शन जारी है। किसान मज़दूर मोर्चा के संयोजक सरवन सिंह पंधेर ने कहा कि किसानों ने धान की खरीद, डीएपी और पराली के मुद्दों को लेकर अनिश्चितकालीन चक्का जाम का ऐलान किया है। कल पंजाब मुख्यमंत्री दिल्ली गए थे और कहा था कि उन्होंने गृह मंत्रालय और जेपी नड्डा से बात की है। लेकिन अभी तक इन मांगों के संबंध में कोई समाधान नहीं निकला है। उन्होंने कहा कि ट्रैक्टर, ट्रक और अन्य वाहन जो जाम में फंसे थे, उन्हें निकाल लिया गया है। पंधेर ने कहा कि हमारी मांगें उचित हैं और हम पीछे हटने वाले नहीं हैं।

किसान नेता ने कहा कि यह धान की खरीद और डीएपी तथा पराली के सभी मुद्दों पर दोनों मोर्चों द्वारा चल रहे अनिश्चितकालीन चक्का जाम का दूसरा दिन है। किसान नेता ने कहा कि अब जैसा कि हम देख सकते हैं, कुछ स्थानों पर उठाने का काम धीरे-धीरे शुरू हो गया है। लेकिन, पंजाब के कुछ स्थानों पर कमीशन एजेंट किसानों पर 5-6 किलोग्राम की कटौती करने का दबाव डाल रहे हैं, वरना वे उनकी धान का बोरा नहीं बनाएंगे। ऐसे में पंजाब सरकार को आदेश जारी करना चाहिए कि किसानों को उनकी धान में हुई कटौती का मुआवज़ा दिया जाए।
समस्या के समाधान तक आंदोलन जारी रखने की घोषणा

The farmer leader said that now as we can see, some lifting has started to some extent. But, at some places in Punjab, commission agents are imposing cuts on farmers by saying that they have been asked to impose cuts of 5-6 kg. Otherwise we will not put your paddy in bags. In such a situation, the Punjab government should issue an order that the farmers will be compensated for the cuts in their paddy.
Announcement to continue the movement until a solution is found
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that in view of the wavering attitude of the state and the Centre, the farmers’ protest will continue until a solution is found. He said that the tractors, trucks etc. which were stuck due to the protests have been removed. There is a meeting to be held with the government. Apart from this, a non-political meeting of KMM and SKM is to be held. All our farmer leaders from Punjab are coming here. Everyone will talk and decide how to solve this problem, till then the protests will continue.
