क्या खेतों में धान की पराली जलाना अंतिम समाधान है? यह सवाल उठ रहा है क्योंकि जहरीली हवा का प्रभाव अब स्पष्ट होने लगा है। सर्दी अभी शुरू नहीं हुई है, लेकिन जहरीली हवा के प्रभाव महसूस होने लगे हैं। जलती हुई पराली का धुआं दूर-दूर तक सांसें घुटने जैसे हालात पैदा कर रहा है। ऐसे में एक स्वाभाविक सवाल उठता है कि क्या पराली को जलाए बिना भी निपटारा नहीं किया जा सकता? इसी सवाल ने करनाल के किसान विशाल चौधरी को प्रेरित किया, जिसके बाद उन्होंने ऐसा अभियान शुरू किया जो आज हरियाणा में चर्चा का विषय बन चुका है।

विशाल चौधरी करनाल के तरावड़ी गांव के निवासी हैं। आप सोचेंगे कि विशाल चौधरी को पराली निपटान जैसे बड़े काम का विचार क्यों आया? इसके पीछे एक घटना है जो 2010 में हुई थी। विशाल चौधरी 2010 में एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय सेमिनार में गए थे और उससे बहुत प्रभावित हुए। उस सेमिनार में उन्होंने पराली प्रबंधन की मशीनों के लिए अनुरोध किया, लेकिन उन्हें मशीनें नहीं दी गईं। प्रबंधन ने कहा कि पहले किसानों का एक समूह बनाओ, फिर मशीनें मिलेंगी।

विशाल चौधरी की सफलता की कहानी

इसके बाद विशाल चौधरी ने तय किया कि वह एक समूह बनाएंगे और पराली निपटान के लिए मशीनें बनाएंगे। उन्होंने 15 युवा किसानों के साथ एक संगठन बनाया और पराली निपटान का कार्य शुरू किया। संगठन का काम इतना अच्छा था कि आज करनाल में 700 किसान इससे जुड़े हैं और ये सभी किसान वैज्ञानिक तरीके से पराली का निपटान करते हैं। ये किसान अपने खेतों में पराली नहीं जलाते।

इस संगठन की खासियत यह है कि अब तक उन्होंने 8750 मीट्रिक टन पराली का निपटान किया है। सोचिए, अगर इतनी पराली जलाई जाती तो कितना जहरीला धुआं निकलता और पर्यावरण तथा मानव जीवन को कितना नुकसान होता। सभी किसान वैज्ञानिक विधियों से खेती करते हैं और पराली का सही इस्तेमाल करते हैं। ये किसान पराली का इस्तेमाल अपने खेतों और फसलों के लिए सूक्ष्म जीवों, नमी और पृथ्वी के कृमियों के लिए खाद्य स्रोत के तौर पर करते हैं। ये किसान पराली को खेतों में डालते हैं जो मल्चिंग का काम भी करती है। ये किसान पिछले 14 सालों से ऐसा कर रहे हैं।

पर्यावरण को बचाने का बड़ा अभियान

अगर हम आंकड़ों पर गौर करें तो इन किसानों के संगठन ने 8750 मीट्रिक टन पराली ना जलाने से 26 किलोग्राम कण पदार्थ और 5,25,000 किलोग्राम कार्बन मोनोऑक्साइड छोड़ी है। 12,775 टन कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड, 1731 टन राख और 17 टन सल्फर डाइऑक्साइड को पर्यावरण में जाने से बचाया है। इसी वजह से इस संगठन को राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर कई पुरस्कार और सम्मान मिले हैं। भारत और विदेश के कई वैज्ञानिक इस संगठन के वैज्ञानिक मॉडल को देखने और समझने आते हैं। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी इन किसानों की प्रशंसा की है। इस संगठन का नाम है “प्राकृतिक संसाधनों का संरक्षण और युवाओं को सशक्त बनाने का समाज।”

This is because the air of burning stubble is creating suffocating conditions in some far away places. In such a situation, the question that naturally arises is whether the stubble cannot be disposed of without burning it? A similar question had arisen in the mind of Vishal Chaudhary, a farmer from Karnal, after which he launched such a campaign to solve it that today it is being discussed all over Haryana.

Farmer Vishal Chaudhary is a resident of Tarawadi village of Karnal in Haryana. You will ask why Vishal Choudhary came up with the idea that he would do a big job like stubble disposal and help other farmers. Actually, there is an incident behind this which happened in 2010. Farmer Vishal Chaudhary went to an international seminar in 2010 and was very impressed by it. In that seminar, Vishal Chaudhary asked for stubble management disposal machines from the management there, but he was refused to give them the machines. The management said that first form a group of farmers and then the machines will be available.

Vishal Chaudhary’s success story

After this, Vishal Choudhary decided that he would form a group and make machines for stubble disposal. He also started this and formed an organization with 15 young farmers. This organization started the work of stubble disposal with full preparation. The work of the organization was so good that today 700 farmers are associated with it across Karnal and all these farmers dispose of the stubble scientifically. These farmers never set fire to the stubble in the fields.

The specialty of this organization is that till now it has disposed of 8750 metric tons of stubble. Just imagine, if so much stubble had been burnt, how much poisonous smoke would have come out and how much damage it would have caused to the environment as well as human life. All the farmers associated with Vishal Chaudhary’s organization do farming scientifically and use stubble very well. All these farmers use stubble to provide micro-organisms to the fields and crops, moisture to the fields and food for earthworms. These farmers sprinkle stubble in the fields which also serves as mulching. This group of farmers has been doing the same work for the last 14 years.

Big campaign to save environment

If we look at the data, the farmers’ organization has released 26 kg of particulate matter and 5,25,000 kg of carbon monoxide by not burning 8750 metric tons of stubble. Saving 12,775 tonnes of carbon dioxide, 1731 tonnes of ash and 17 tonnes of sulfur dioxide from going into the environment. This is the reason why this organization has received many awards and honors at the national and international level. Even many scientists from India and abroad come to see and understand the scientific model of this organization. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also praised these farmers. He praised the work of these farmers this year and patted them on the back. The name of this organization of farmers is Society for Conservation of Natural Resources and Empowering Rule Youth.
