Bloomberg reported on Thursday (October 31) that the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is in advanced talks with the group.
Although sources indicated that there is no certainty that a deal will be reached from the ongoing talks with SALIC, estimates suggest that this deal could value Olam Agri at around $4 billion.
They also informed Bloomberg that Olam’s planned share sale for a potential listing of its agricultural business unit in Singapore and Riyadh has been paused since last year.
