New Delhi, November 7 (KNN) – Driven by a thriving tech ecosystem and unique talent pool, India is solidifying its position as a global leader in AI.
A recent report from NASSCOM highlights this rapid growth, showing a 3.6X increase in generative AI startups since 2023.
This surge spans various fields, from foundational AI models to practical applications, signaling significant changes in industries ranging from healthcare to finance.
To support this momentum, Google has partnered with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Startup Hub, aimed at empowering 10,000 Indian startups on their AI journey.
As part of this initiative, Google recently announced the launch of a dedicated program called “Google for Startups AI Academy India,” which will provide resources, advice, and strategic support for emerging AI enterprises across the country.
In line with India’s ambitious IndiaAI mission, this program aims to accelerate the development of domestic, human-centered AI solutions that directly benefit Indian society.
Starting in November and running until December 2024, the AI Academy will host boot camps in seven Indian cities: Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.
