This audience will also include students who will have access to this teaching lab over the four-year operation. CLC’s Ag and Energy Center will continue to serve regional and state farmers through research and demonstration to support competitive advantages in growing crops in coarse, sandy soils under irrigation.
The college’s annual field day program will highlight project results. Vocational training programs will include lessons learned on project outcomes and enhancing soil health and water quality.
CLC President Hara Charlier stated in a release, “Agriculture plays a vital role in our campus community and statewide. We are eager to continue this essential work to open doors for students to create diverse and impactful careers in the field.”
Kroos mentioned that student involvement in practical research is fundamental in preparing the next generation of agricultural innovators and problem-solvers.
