12 November 2024, Umaria: Animal census training completed in Umaria – For the proper successful implementation of the National 21st Animal Census year 2024-25, as per the instructions of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, recently under the guidance and direction of Dr. KK Pandey, Deputy Director Umaria, training for animal census work was organized in the auditorium of the Agricultural Science Center in the district. Master trainers Dr. Avinash Singh and Shailendra Kumar Mishra gave systematic training to all the trainees and motivated them to do the animal census work properly.
For this work, 10 supervisors in the district who will perform the work of supervision and 53 enumerators including Assistant Veterinary Service Officer of Animal Husbandry Department, Statistics Department, Paravet of MVU and as per requirement, trained cow servants, Maitri, were appointed for animal enumeration work. Who will go to every house in all the villages and urban wards of the district and do the survey of livestock like cow, buffalo, hen, goat, sheep as well as stray animals.
All the supervisors and enumerators appointed by Dr. Pandey were encouraged to carry out the computation work correctly and smoothly and were asked to inform in case of any difficulty.
