मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पिछले बीजेडी सरकार ने ओडिशा के किसानों के साथ धोखा किया। उन्होंने कहा कि पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने नौ साल पहले सोहेला, बargarh जिले में किसानों की रैली में धान पर 100 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल का बोनस देने की घोषणा की थी। इससे किसान जो परेशान थे, उन्हें बहुत मदद मिल सकती थी। लेकिन किसानों को सरकार से एक रुपये का बोनस भी नहीं मिला। मुख्यमंत्री महजी ने कहा कि हम 8 दिसंबर को वही राशि जो पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने बिना लाभ के घोषित की थी, उसी जगह 800 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल किसानों को देंगे।
