उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार ने धान की नमी की अधिकतम सीमा 17 प्रतिशत तय की है, इसके बाद खरीद एजेंसियां धान नहीं खरीदेंगी। डिप्टी कमिश्नर ने बताया कि बासमती की खरीददारी निजी एजेंसियों द्वारा की जा रही है, जबकि पंग्रेन, मार्कफेड, पंसुप, फूड कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया और पंजाब स्टेट वेयरहाउसिंग कॉर्पोरेशन गैर-बासमती धान की खरीद कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि किसानों को बाजारों में किसी प्रकार की परेशानी का सामना नहीं करना पड़ेगा। डिप्टी कमिश्नर ने कहा कि बाजारों में धान के जमा होने से बचने के लिए आवश्यक है कि किसान सूखे फसल लाएं। उन्होंने बाजार अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया कि वे धान की जांच प्रवेश द्वार पर ही करें और 17 प्रतिशत से अधिक नमी वाला धान मंडियों में प्रवेश न करने दें।
जालंधर में धान की उठाई नहीं हो रही
वहीं, नवांशहर और जालंधर की grain मंडियों में धान की उठाई नहीं हो रही है। नवांशहर जिले में 30 गांव और जालंधर में 79 गांव हैं। हालांकि, किसानों द्वारा लाए गए उत्पादन की खरीदी हो रही है। जालंधर में गुरुवार को 4,888 मीट्रिक टन धान आया। कुल मिलाकर, 18,820 मीट्रिक टन धान बाजारों में आया है और 12,178 मीट्रिक टन खरीदा गया है। खरीद के बाद, यह उत्पादन मंडियों में ही पड़ा है। नौर गांव के सतनाम सिंह ने कहा कि जो उत्पादन मैंने बाजार में लाया था, उसे खरीदा गया है, लेकिन उसे उठाया नहीं गया। कमीशन एजेंट संघ के प्रमुख कश्मीरी लाल ने कहा कि शेलर में स्थान नहीं होने के कारण उठाई नहीं हो रही।

Moisture in paddy should not be more than 17 percent
He said that the government has fixed the upper limit of moisture at 17 percent, after which the procurement agencies will not purchase paddy. The Deputy Commissioner said that Basmati is being procured by private agencies, while Pangrain, Markfed, Pansup, Food Corporation of India and Punjab State Warehousing Corporation are purchasing non-Basmati variety of paddy. He assured that farmers will not face any inconvenience in the markets. DC said that to prevent accumulation of paddy in the markets, it is necessary that farmers bring dry crops. He instructed the market officials to inspect the paddy at the entry gate itself and not allow the crop having more than 17 percent moisture to enter the mandis.
Paddy lifting is not happening in Jalandhar
At the same time, lifting of paddy is not taking place in the grain markets of Nawanshahr and Jalandhar. There are 30 villages in Nawanshahr district and 79 villages in Jalandhar. However, the produce brought by farmers to the markets is being purchased. 4,888 metric tonnes of paddy arrived in Jalandhar on Thursday. Overall, 18,820 metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in the markets and 12,178 metric tonnes has been purchased. After purchase, the produce is lying in the markets. Satnam Singh of Naura village of Banga said that the produce I had brought to the market has been purchased, but it has not been lifted. Kashmiri Lal, head of the commission agent association, said that there is no space in the sheller, hence the lifting is not taking place.
