FCI has informed the Haryana government about the need for storage space of about 16 lakh MT rice, out of which information has come out that space is available in warehouses for storage of 12 lakh 55 thousand MT rice, which is absolutely suitable.

Instructions to complete all work on time
ACS Dr. Sumita Mishra has asked the officer to arrange necessary facilities for storage in the warehouses available for storage by the end of next month, so that when the millers give rice to FCI, there is no problem in storage. For this, he has given instructions to issue tenders etc. on time. Besides, it has been asked to do all the work including repair and approval in time.

FCI will lift wheat
Apart from this, a decision was also taken in the meeting on lifting of wheat stored in warehouses. FCI will soon do the work of lifting it. ACS said that the state government will provide identified warehouse to FCI and will provide all necessary help for storage of rice of CMR. All repairs will be completed in time. During the wheat season, FCI will prepare a plan for direct lifting from the mandis as and when required during the season. FCI officials will get wheat and rice lifted from the warehouses of Haryana as soon as possible.
