Governor Diri made this revelation after a meeting of the State Executive Council in Yenagoa, the state capital.
He directed the Agricultural Commissioner, Prof. Becke Sese, to provide an updated report on the loans distributed in 2022.
Diri emphasized that his administration aims to use agriculture to promote food security and cannot pretend to be uninvolved in the agricultural sector.
“I don’t want the impression that we collected money and shared it among ourselves,” he stated.
