The non-profit organization “Promotion for Development” (PROMODEV / Allo AGRO) is deeply concerned about the rapid decline in achievements related to national agricultural production and environmental protection. PROMODEV states, “This troubling situation, affecting both our economy and ecology, is the result of clear opposition from certain actors to initiatives by Haitian development agents, both within and outside the country.”
“Indeed, we have identified manipulation and interference strategies aimed at maintaining the status quo, as well as making efforts to preserve the general atmosphere of insecurity in Haiti.”
In response to this concerning situation, PROMODEV would like to remind all its partners and collaborators of its firm decision: Due to a loss of trust caused by the questionable moral actions of these institutions, messages from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environment will no longer be published or circulated. This decision comes in a context where instability reigns.
