कानो राज्य में विशेष कृषि-औद्योगिक प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र कार्यक्रम (SAPZ) ने कृषि उत्पादकता पर ज्ञान में सुधार के लिए एक सामुदायिक सहभागिता और जागरूकता अभियान का उद्घाटन किया है।
कार्यक्रम, छह स्थानीय सरकारी क्षेत्रों, अर्थात् बिची, दावाकिन तोफा, दानबट्टा, गेज़ावा, गरुण मालम और बेबेजी में कार्यान्वित किया गया है, जिसका उद्देश्य जनता, विशेष रूप से लक्षित लाभार्थियों के बीच जागरूकता बढ़ाना है।
राज्य में SAPZ समन्वयक के अनुसार, मुक्तार अल-कासिम ने शनिवार को कानो में उद्घाटन के अवसर पर कहा कि इसका उद्देश्य कृषि उत्पादकता और उद्यम विकास को बढ़ाना है।

The Special Agricultural Processing Zones (SAPZ) program in Kano State has launched a community engagement and awareness campaign to enhance agricultural productivity through improved knowledge.
This initiative operates across six local government areas: Bichi, Dawakin Tofa, Danbatta, Gezawa, Garun Mallam, and Bebegi, aiming to raise awareness among the public, particularly the targeted beneficiaries.
According to the SAPZ coordinator in the state, Mukhtar Al-Kasim, who spoke during the inauguration in Kano on Saturday, the program aims to boost agricultural productivity and enterprise development.

He further mentioned that the program also seeks to promote agricultural value chains and create jobs in the SAPZ catchment areas.
The initiative supports agricultural-industrial sector policies and institutional development as well.
“The SAPZ program has four key components, including the development of infrastructure for agricultural-industrial centers to support climate-resilient agriculture,” he explained.
“It is also linked to enhancing agricultural productivity and fostering enterprise development to improve agricultural value chains and job creation.”
