To improve seed production infrastructure, 65 new seed centers and 50 seed storage units will be set up in the public sector.
Additionally, more than 600 value chain clusters will be developed in 347 specific districts, covering an area of more than 10 lakh hectares annually. These clusters will be managed by value chain partners like FPOs, cooperative societies and public or private entities. FPOs, cooperatives and industry will be provided assistance for setting up or upgrading post-harvest units, thereby enhancing supplies from sources such as cotton seeds, rice bran, corn oil and tree-borne oil (TBO). .
