New Delhi, October 3 (IANS). UAV startup Amber Wings has unveiled an agricultural drone that promises to revolutionize farming in India by offering faster and more efficient solutions for crop management.
The agricultural drone, called ‘Viha,’ has recently been certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and is incubated at IIT Madras.
Designed to transform how farmers and agricultural businesses operate across the country, this drone can spray fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments on crops seven times faster than manual methods, helping save valuable time and resources for farmers and businesses.
“The introduction of Viha marks a significant moment in our journey to enhance agricultural practices in India. Our mission has always been to provide innovative solutions that empower farmers and drive industry growth,” said Professor Satya Chakravarthy from IIT Madras, founder and technical head of UBFly Technologies.

Amber Wings is an affiliate brand of the acclaimed flying taxi startup The Eplane Company, which was established at IIT Madras.
