According to news partners at ABC13, the restaurant’s landlord ended the lease on Almeida Road, forcing the business to relocate to stay in operation.
The Turkey Leg Hut started in 2015 as a food truck and quickly gained popularity.
Owner Nakia Holmes announced that she filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March.
The restaurant was closed in September due to health code violations, and ABC13’s request for comment was not answered.
The health department reported 35 violations, including improper food storage and unsafe equipment.
Holmes had stated on social media that the restaurant was closed for “renovation.”
