गुवाहाटी में इस बड़ी मांग को देखते हुए, किसान मृगेन मजूमदार, जो पिछले 10 वर्षों से केले बेच रहे हैं, कहते हैं कि जब केले का पौधा फल देना शुरू कर देता है, तो पौधा यानी अंगूठा अब किसी काम का नहीं होता। ऐसे में हम इन पौधों को काटकर दीपावली के दौरान गुवाहाटी लाते हैं। इससे लोगों की पूजा में मदद मिलती है और हमें मुनाफा होता है। मैंने इस सीजन में 200 पौधे बेचे, जिनमें आधे बिक चुके हैं। उम्मीद है कि बाकी के पौधे भी बिक जाएंगे।
