The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires that by 2032, 60% of new delivery trucks and 25% of long-haul tractors be electric models.
The American Petroleum Institute (API) has filed a lawsuit in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals challenging the EPA’s heavy-duty vehicle emissions standards in its first filing, called a brief.
Ryan Meyers, API’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel, stated, “Americans strongly resist being told by the government what they should buy and drive, but this administration’s constant vehicle mandates do just that.
