This initiative follows a meeting in Doha where the President of Zanzibar, Hussein Mwinyi discussed plans to import urea fertilizer from the Arab nation, along with other developmental issues, with Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy, Mr. Saad bin Sherida Al-Kaabi.
According to a statement released by Mr. Charles Hillary, the Director of Communications at the Zanzibar State House, “The meeting highlighted Qatar’s intention to sell urea fertilizer to Tanzania at lower prices.”
