Grimmway Farms is recalling various sizes and brands of organic whole carrots and baby carrots that were shipped directly to retail distribution centers in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported 39 cases of E. coli linked to organic carrots, including one death and 15 hospitalizations.
The CDC stated that while these carrots are unlikely to be on store shelves now, they may still be in consumers’ homes and should be discarded.
