Across India, other weather systems are also active. Cyclonic circulation is active over Northeast Bangladesh and Sub-Himalayan areas of West Bengal and Sikkim. However, the intensity of cyclonic activity has reduced near South Assam.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that by Tuesday morning, a clearly marked low pressure area has formed over the southern part of the Bay of Bengal. In a post on ‘X’, the department said that this depression may further intensify during the next 2 days and move west-northwestwards towards North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts.
