According to a report in The New Indian Express, sources said that the Cooperation Department will soon equip paddy procurement centers and mandis with AI-based automated food grain analyzers to assess various parameters of grains including paddy. With this, the evaluation of food grains will be done with AI which will help in removing the questions arising among the farmers and paddy buyers regarding the quality of paddy. It will also make checking the quality of paddy easy and transparent.
Farmers will get good price for their produce
Let us tell you that the cropping system is run in the state through the alleged nexus between the mill owners and the supply officials which has become a curse for the farmers. In this practice, farmers are asked to reduce the weight of one quintal by four to six kilos in the procurement centers on the basis of moisture content and quantity of straw in the paddy. Officials said grading is necessary to determine proper quality. So that farmers can get good prices for their produce. But illegal reduction in the weight of paddy will not be allowed in the name of maintaining FAQs.

This will speed up the sampling process in paddy procurement and will make the process more accurate and faster. This will save time.
