The statement said that for the Kharif Marketing Season 2024-25 this year, the Central Government has approved the estimated procurement of 124 lakh tonnes of rice from Punjab, which is equivalent to 185 lakh tonnes of paddy and the Government of India will provide the same to the state without any restriction.
