इस बीच, भारतीय किसान यूनियन (शहीद भगत सिंह) के बैनर तले कई किसानों ने उप जिला आयुक्त पार्थ गुप्ता से मुलाकात की। किसानों ने स्टबल जलाने के मामले में दर्ज FIR और फसल पोर्टल पर किए गए रेड एंट्री को रद्द करने की मांग करते हुए एक ज्ञापन सौंपा। भारतीय किसान यूनियन (SBS) के जिला अध्यक्ष गुरमीत सिंह ने किसानों के खिलाफ की जा रही कार्रवाई पर सरकार को निशाना बनाया।

Ambala Deputy Director of Agriculture, Dr. Jaswinder Saini has given a statement that action is being taken against the farmers who burn paddy straw. Teams are roaming from village to village asking farmers to avoid burning stubble and avail government help for stubble management. No new incidents of fire in fields have been reported in the last two days. However, after incidents of stubble burning in many fields in some areas came to light, three officers who were negligent have been suspended.
Farmer organizations expressed protest
At the same time, under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Shaheed Bhagat Singh), many farmers met Deputy Commissioner Partha Gupta. The farmers submitted a memorandum to the officer demanding cancellation of the FIR registered against the farmers burning stubble and the red entry registered on the crop portal. Here, District President of Bharatiya Kisan Union (SBS) Gurmeet Singh targeted the government for the action being taken against farmers.
He said that the government is targeting farmers by imposing fines, registering FIRs and red entries on the crop portal. Farmers have no other option except burning stubble. The government has failed to provide adequate machinery to the farmers. He said that no such action is taken against polluting industries. The government should cancel the FIR and red entry registered against the farmers.
