आरोपों का जवाब क्या है?
राणा का दावा है कि राज्य का DAP भंडार पिछले साल की मांग के बराबर है। पिछले रबी सीजन में 2,29,086 मीट्रिक टन DAP का उपयोग हुआ, जबकि इस बार 7 नवंबर 2024 तक राज्य में 1,71,002 मीट्रिक टन DAP की आवक हुई है। इसमें 1 अक्टूबर 2024 का शुरुआती भंडार 53,970 मीट्रिक टन भी शामिल है।
कृषि मंत्री ने कहा कि वर्तमान में विभिन्न जिलों में 26,497 मीट्रिक टन DAP उपलब्ध है और 11 नवंबर तक 14,574 मीट्रिक टन और प्राप्त होने की संभावना है। राणा ने बताया कि किसान DAP के अलावा अन्य उर्वरक जैसे NPK और सिंगल सुपर फॉस्फेट (SSP) का भी उपयोग करते हैं। राज्य में 65,200 मीट्रिक टन NPK की आपूर्ति की गई है, जिसमें से 26,041 मीट्रिक टन का भंडार उपलब्ध है।

रणदीप सुरजेवाला के आरोपों का जवाब देते हुए कृषि मंत्री राणा ने कहा कि उचाना में किसानों के खिलाफ पुलिस कार्रवाई के आरोप गलत हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि 26 नवंबर को नरवाना, गुहला-चीकां और कैथल में किसानों की असंतोष की खबरें निराधार हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इन घटनाओं की कोई पुष्टि नहीं हुई है और किसानों के खिलाफ कोई पुलिस कार्रवाई दर्ज नहीं की गई है।

What is the answer to the allegations?
Rana claimed that the state’s DAP stock is equal to last year’s demand. In the entire last Rabi season, 2,29,086 metric tonnes of DAP was consumed, whereas this time till November 7, 2024, 1,71,002 metric tonnes of DAP has been received in the state. Which also includes the initial stock of 53,970 metric tons of October 1, 2024.
The Agriculture Minister said that currently 26,497 metric tonnes of DAP is available in various districts and an additional 14,574 metric tonnes is likely to be received by November 11. Rana said that along with DAP, farmers also use other fertilizers like NPK and Single Super Phosphate (SSP). 65,200 MT of NPK has been supplied in the state, out of which stock of 26,041 MT is available.

Surjewala told the circumstances
Congress leader Randeep Surjewala told journalists in Chandigarh that there is an outcry over DAP in the entire country including Haryana and Punjab. During the Rabi season, farmers of the country including Haryana and Punjab have been forced to celebrate ‘Black Diwali’. Due to shortage of DAP, farmers staged a dharna in Guhla-Cheeka and Kaithal, DAP had to be distributed among police stations in Sirsa, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri and Narnaul. Farmers of many states including Haryana and Punjab have been standing in lines since 4 in the morning, waiting for fertilizer. In Uchana, Haryana, the police had lathicharged the farmers standing in lines for DAP fertilizer. On the other hand, farmers in Narwana were forced to sit on strike.
No police action was taken
Responding to Randeep Surjewala’s allegations, Agriculture Minister Rana said that the allegations of police action against farmers in Uchana are wrong. He termed the reports of farmers’ dissatisfaction in Narwana, Guhla Cheeka and Kaithal on November 26 as baseless. He said that there is no confirmation of these incidents and no police action has been registered against the farmers.
Rana also clarified that the allegations of DAP being distributed in the police stations of Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri and Narnaul are false. Local authorities in these areas have assured farmers of availability of adequate DAP stock. For example, from October 1 to November 7, 15,794 MT DAP arrived in Sirsa district, out of which stock of 1,573 MT still exists. An additional 2,419 metric tonnes of DAP will be supplied to Sirsa in the next few days.
‘Game’ of numbers
Giving example of the government’s distribution efforts, Rana said that on November 5, a large number of farmers had gathered during the fertilizer distribution at Badhra Packs in Charkhi Dadri. There the distribution was conducted smoothly in the presence of SDM and other officials. In October and November, DAP sales have increased more this year in Charkhi Dadri district than last year. Today till November 7, 3,745 MT DAP has been made available, which is more than last year’s 2,891 MT.
