According to the data of the State Agriculture Department, since October 1 till now, farmers have purchased 7.3 lakh metric tons of urea. Whereas, till now 6.1 lakh metric tonnes of DAP and NPK have been sold.
16 thousand tons of urea is being consumed every day
Data shows that adequate availability of fertilizers is being ensured to the farmers through Markfed centres. Every day farmers are buying 11,500 metric tons of DAP and NPK. Whereas, farmers are buying 16,000 metric tons of urea every day. 31 rakes of DAP and NPK and 20 rakes of urea are in transit in the state. At the same time, 40 FIRs have been registered against people involved in black marketing and selling fertilizers at higher prices.
There is plenty of fertilizer for farmers – CM
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that there will be no shortage of fertilizers for the farmers of the state. Adequate quantity of fertilizer remains available. Many racks of fertilizer are on the way, which will reach the district headquarters and Markfed centers in a few days. The Chief Minister said that adequate availability of irrigation and electricity has been ensured. Farmers will not face any problem in sowing Rabi crops.
