The Howell American Legion Post 141 is collecting diapers, water, and other supplies, along with some agricultural needs.
Margie Provenzano from Provenzano Farms in Howell has reported that on October 18, they will be sending “four semis full of hay” to Asheville, North Carolina.
She sent a message to WHMI News saying they have received a donation through a semi truck and are covering the costs themselves. However, there are also three other small owner/operator businesses involved.
To help with fuel costs, they have created two linked GoFundMe accounts.
Provenzano posted on Facebook that Family Farm and Home in Howell is also accepting animal supplies and gift cards.
Items needed include Timothy hay, alfalfa hay, any type of feed, horse/cattle feed, goat feed, sheep feed, halters and leads, buckets, fly spray, and first aid supplies.
To assist with donations, Chuck and Madison will broadcast WHMI’s Morning Drive live from Post 141 on Thursday. Monetary donations can also be made through https://www.samaritanspurse.org.
