The Bailieborough Agricultural Show has concluded a very successful year with its recent charity night at the Newpark Hotel, raising a total of €20,000 for charity.
The recipients of the donations include the Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team, Castlecomer Day Care Centre, Cois Nore, Cancer Trials Ireland, Gavin Glynn Foundation, Coon Senior Citizens, Bailieborough Senior Citizens, Bailieborough Community Hall Restoration Fund, Mother of Fair Love National School, Muccully Ladies’ Football Club, and Protecting Dog Pounds Limited.
Chairperson Ann Calnan thanked the local landowners for the wonderful setting in Bailieborough. Several sponsors were acknowledged for their generosity and significant role in supporting the show.
Thanks were also given to Kilkenny County Council and the Department of Rural and Community Development for their commitment to developing agricultural shows at both national and local levels.
