यह कार्यक्रम भारत के पहले राष्ट्रपति डॉ. राजेंद्र प्रसाद, जो कृषि मंत्री भी थे, की जयंती मनाने के लिए आयोजित किया गया था। स्नातकोत्तर अध्ययन के डीन और अनुसंधान निदेशक डॉ. रघुरामी रेड्डी ने कृषि के महत्व पर जोर दिया और छात्रों को कम उम्र से ही इसमें रुचि विकसित करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
