According to the Tangail Water Development Board, the water level of the Yamuna River at the Porabari point increased by 20 centimeters in a 24-hour period until 9:00 AM on Monday. The water level of the Jhinei River at the Jokarchar point increased by 68 centimeters. Additionally, the Dhaleshwari River at the Ilasin point rose by 42 centimeters, while the Fatikjani River at the Nolchapa point rose by 10 centimeters. The Bongshai River’s water levels increased by 3 centimeters at the Kouljani point and 14 centimeters at the Modhupur point. The water level measuring meters at the Jukni regulator point for the Dhaleshwari River and at the Bhuyapur regulator point for the Fatikjani River are temporarily out of service.

Mohammad Sajjat Hussain, the executive engineer of the Tangail District Water Development Board, stated that all rivers in the district, including the Yamuna River, are flowing below the danger level. However, there is no immediate threat of flooding. Legal action will be taken against those involved in illegal sand loading and unloading and shifting geo bags at the dam.
