Agricultural machinery handed over to farmers
Sarma said the number of laboratories to test soil quality in the state has been increased from the earlier five to 26. Along with the distribution of SHC, farm machinery was handed over to the farmers and the Chief Minister in the presence of Agriculture Minister Atul Bora. Agricultural Knowledge Centers were inaugurated by Sarma. In his speech, Sarma said that we are in the process of setting up 816 Rural Agricultural Equipment Banks. Earlier, we had only 80 such banks in the state. He said that the government is also starting 96 agricultural knowledge centers and 93 agricultural development offices.
