फतेहाबाद में स्टबल जलाने पर 40 “रेड एंट्रीज़” दर्ज की गई हैं। जिला अधिकारियों ने बताया कि फतेहाबाद जिले में तीन कर्मचारियों को निलंबित किया गया है और किसानों के खिलाफ पांच एफआईआर दर्ज की गई हैं। फतेहाबाद के टोहाना उप-खंड के एसडीएम प्रतीक हुड्डा ने मंगलवार को जामलपुर शेखा और टोहाना में छह कर्मचारियों और गांव स्तर की सतर्कता समिति के सदस्यों को शो-कॉज नोटिस दिए। बुधवार तक, हिसार जिले में स्टबल जलाने के मामले में 11 किसानों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की गई।

SMS is a machine which makes bales of paddy straw which farmers can sell and earn money. They do not need to burn it in the fields.

The Deputy Commissioner said that any combine machine running without straw machine i.e. SMS will be confiscated immediately. He instructed the officials to ensure that no combine machine in the district runs without SMS. “Proper management of stubble is necessary to protect the environment and maintain soil fertility,” he said while holding a meeting with district officials in Hisar on Tuesday.

Dahiya said that no machine owner should take more money from farmers than the fixed rate, otherwise strict action will be taken. He directed all the SDMs and concerned sub-divisional agriculture officers to check the baler machines (straw baler machines) in their area and also ensure that all the balers are working properly in Hisar district. He also instructed the Assistant Agricultural Engineer to immediately hold a meeting with the representatives of the industries purchasing bundles of stubble in the district.
Meanwhile, the district administration has asked the Deputy Director of Agriculture (DDA) to get mapping of all the paddy cultivating villages in the district done, so that in-situ and ex-situ machines can be made available to the concerned villages on time. There are 40 red entries in the records of farmers burning stubble in Fatehabad. District officials said that in Fatehabad district, three employees have been suspended and five FIRs have been registered against the farmers. SDM Prateek Hooda of Tohana sub-division of Fatehabad district also issued show cause notices to six employees and members of village level vigilance committee in Jamalpur Shekha and Tohana on Tuesday. By Wednesday, the district administration in Hisar had lodged an FIR against 11 farmers in the case of stubble burning.
