मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य में सिंचाई के दायरे को बढ़ाया गया है। यूपी में 3500 से अधिक एफपीओ काम कर रहे हैं। गोदामों की संख्या बढ़ाई गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि पहले किसान गन्ना सीजन के दौरान विरोध करते थे। अब यूपी में 120 चीनी मिलें चल रही हैं। इनमें से 100 मिलें एक सप्ताह के भीतर भुगतान कर रही हैं। आज यूपी गन्ना, चीनी और एथेनॉल उत्पादन में पहले स्थान पर है। यूपी के किसान देश के आलू उत्पादन का 25 प्रतिशत और मकई उत्पादन का 30 प्रतिशत कर रहे हैं। किसानों ने धान, गेहूं, दालें और तिलहन में भी रिकॉर्ड बनाए हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री योगी ने कहा कि यूपी देश में सबसे अधिक पशु पालन करने वाला राज्य है। यहां सरकारी गोशालाओं में 12 लाख से अधिक बेसहारा गायें हैं। सरकार बेसहारा पशुओं की देखभाल कर रही है। उनके लिए तीन प्रकार की योजनाएँ चलाई जा रही हैं। इसका उद्देश्य एक तरफ गायों की रक्षा करना और दूसरी तरफ विष-मुक्त खेती के प्रयास करना है। केंद्र और राज्य सरकारें यूपी में 1.15 लाख हेक्टेयर भूमि पर प्राकृतिक खेती कर रही हैं।
यूपी के 27 जिलों में गंगा के किनारे और बुंदेलखंड के सभी सात जिलों में इसे बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है। इसके लिए विशेषज्ञ गौ सेवा आयोग के अध्यक्ष श्याम बिहारी गुप्ता द्वारा प्राकृतिक खेती के बारे में लोगों को जागरूक करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। प्राकृतिक खेती के तरीके से खेती करने पर प्रति एकड़ 12 से 15 हजार की बचत होती है। यदि 161 लाख हेक्टेयर को प्राकृतिक खेती में बदला जाए, तो लाखों करोड़ रुपये की बचत होगी।

मुख्यमंत्री योगी ने यूपी के किसानों की सफलता की कहानी भी सुनाई। बताया कि बिजनोर के एक किसान ने 10 एकड़ खेती से सालाना 1 करोड़ रुपये का शुद्ध लाभ कमाते हैं। यूपी के किसानों ने देश में प्रति एकड़ 86 टन (860 कुंतल) गन्ने का उत्पादन दिखाया है। एक किसान खुद पेपरमेंट की खेती करता है और किसानों से इसे इकट्ठा कर 200 करोड़ रुपये का निर्यात करता है। रूस, अमेरिका और यूरोप में आम की एक किलो की कीमत एक हजार रुपये है।

Today UP ranks first in sugarcane, sugar and ethanol production. The farmers of UP are producing 25 percent of the country’s potato production and 30 percent of maize production. Farmers have also set records in paddy, wheat, pulses and oilseeds.

There is a saving of Rs 12 to 15 thousand per acre in natural method of farming. If 161 lakh hectares are converted into natural farming, lakhs of crores of rupees will be saved.
