Special features of water tank scheme
- This scheme will be implemented in all the cotton producing districts of the state.
- Farmers will apply for micro irrigation plant with water tank on the departmental portal.
- It is mandatory for farmers to deposit a registration fee of Rs 5000/- per farmer along with the application form. This fee will be refunded later after the successful completion of the subsidy process. If one gives wrong information to give subsidy, this fee will be confiscated.
- If more farmers apply for subsidy than the target, then beneficiary farmers will be selected through draw and they will be given subsidy. For this, a selection team will be formed which will include officers of the department.
- To get subsidy on tanks, it will be mandatory for farmers to install micro irrigation system.
- As per MIKADA/Approved Source guidelines, 85 percent subsidy amount will be provided on micro irrigation system.
- Subsidy will be given according to the size and type of water tank. There is a provision to give subsidy of Rs 2.25 lakh and Rs 3.25 lakh.
- If a farmer has earlier taken subsidy for digging an earthen pit in his field, then it will be deducted from the water tank subsidy money.

- First of all you should contact Haryana Government website will go on.

- First you will need to register. For this, Rs 5,000 will have to be deposited online.
- As soon as you click on ‘click here for registration’, you will be asked for Parivar Pehchan Patra number.
- By entering this number you can apply for the subsidy scheme.
