अब देश में कई किसान पारंपरिक फसलों की खेती छोड़कर बागवानी में रुचि लेने लगे हैं, क्योंकि इसमें लाभ बहुत अधिक होता है। आज हम आपको एक किसान की कहानी बताएंगे, जिनके पास अपनी ज़मीन नहीं है, लेकिन उन्होंने बागवानी से अपनी कमाई को तीन गुना बढ़ा लिया है। यह कहानी मध्य प्रदेश के छिंदवाड़ा जिले के किसान देवानंद बारबुड़े की है। 47 वर्षीय देवानंद ने 2 एकड़ ज़मीन किराए पर ली है, जहां वे मरिगोल्ड की खेती करते हैं। इससे उन्हें सालाना प्रति एकड़ 1 लाख रुपये का लाभ मिल रहा है, अर्थात् कुल 2 लाख रुपये का लाभ।
