Due to large scale cultivation and production of banana in the district, it has been declared one district-one product. Now Burhanpur district is creating new dimensions of success under the “One District-One Product” initiative. Under this initiative, the income of banana growing farmers is increasing and a new enterprise revolution has also started in the district.
“Banana Festival” was organized in Burhanpur in February this year. Local entrepreneurs and banana farmers participated in this. Three types of powders being made in the unit

- The third powder is made only from banana peel. This powder is used for manure. It is said to be capable of increasing the quality and production of all types of crops.
Government gave subsidy of Rs 10 lakh
A capital of Rs 75 lakh has been spent in setting up this unit, in which a subsidy of Rs 10 lakh has been given under the “Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme”.
