NRCS Florida Accepts EQIP and CSP Applications Until November 1, 2024
Gainesville, Florida, September 11, 2024 – The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Florida announced federal assistance opportunities for agricultural producers for the 2025 fiscal year (from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025). These include the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP).
While NRCS accepts applications year-round, Florida producers and landowners must submit their applications before November 1, 2024, to be considered for funding in the current cycle for FY 2025. Applications received after the sign-up period will automatically be considered in future funding cycles.
The application cut-off period allows NRCS to screen and rank applicants based on the potential for conservation benefits in Florida’s landscapes, including cropland, pasture, and private non-industrial forest land. Contracts for the highest-ranked applications are expected to be finalized by the end of June 2025.
EQIP helps farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners integrate conservation practices into their working lands. It offers financial and technical assistance to address natural resource concerns.
