This was made possible through the efforts of Tinpit Member and Autonomous Community Service Minister Maurice Opeti, along with agreements between Wakunai and nearby districts and NGIP Egmark Limited.
Opeti stated that Egmark has played a significant role in Bougainville over the years through its services.
He mentioned, “Cocoa has been a major source of income in this area, and we chose this region because of its remoteness. We want to bring services closer to the people.”
